Scratch Stars One Stroke Artist of the Year 2018 & 2019 winner, Rebecca Isaac, used the one-stroke technique to create the crimson petals of this poinsettia flower.

Step 1
Start by applying two coats of white gel polish. Next apply a matte topcoat ready for your one stroke design. Using red and black acrylic-based paints, using the one stroke technique blend the two shades together.
Step 2
Create three petal in a triangle.
Step 3
Continue to build up the body of the flower.
Step 4
Next, mix the black and red with a tiny bit of white and create three more petals within the first three.
Step 5
Fill the centre of the flower with black paint to add depth.
Step 6
Create leaves to frame the petals with a mix of green and yellow paint.
Step 7
To create shading, use watered down black paint to outline all of the leaves and petals.
Step 8
Using A green and yellow mix, create the centre of the flower
Step 9
Highlight the petals and add veins.
Step 10
Add fourth details and veins to the leaves.
Step 11
Add further highlights.
Step 12
Add small yellow and white dots to the design.
Step 13
Use a high gloss topcoat to seal in the design.
