Ombré diamond nails
Step by Step
Hazel Dixon Nail Academy educator and Scratch Stars Awards 2020 finalist, Fereida Lydiate, showcases an acrylic tip & overlay French with extra bling.
Step 1
Apply tip and create nail bed extension.
Step 2
Apply a thin layer of a purple coloured acrylic powder around the smile line and blend down the nail. I used colours from the HD Nails range.
Step 3
Add a bead of pink coloured acrylic to the tip of the nail and blend creating an ombré.
Step 4
Apply a small amount of Akzentz Gel Play Bling On to the tip and apply colour contrasting nail art pieces to the nail, then cure for 30 seconds in an LED lamp.
Step 5
Add in small amounts of glitter and shimmer to the areas that don't have the art pieces.
Step 6
Apply clear acrylic to the nail to cap the whole design.
Step 7
File and buff the nail to shape and finish with a shiny gel top coat.
