How to create a colourful abstract nail art look

Prep the nails and push back the cuticles. Shape and buff the natural nails with a grey and yellow buffer. Dust and wipe the nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe then apply two thin coats of Gellux Builder Gel in Rose Pink, curing each layer for 60 seconds. Lightly buff the nails for a matte look, and use a nail brush to remove any dust.

Using a thin liner art brush, create half a circle on each nail in a different place and colour. I applied Gellux Vividly Violet to the little finger, Gellux Mini Lemon Meringue to the ring finger, Gellux Jade's A Gem to the middle finger, Gellux Ocean Coral to the index finger and Gellux Purely White to the thumb. Cure each nail for 60 seconds.

Using a dotting tool, create a circle of colour on each nail. I applied Ocean Coral to the little finger, Purely White to the ring finger, Vividly Violet to the middle finger, Lemon Meringue to the index finger and Jade's A Gem to the thumb. Cure for 60 seconds.

Repeat step two. I applied Jade's A Gem to the little finger, Ocean Coral to the ring finger, Purely White to the middle finger, Vividly Violet to the index finger and Gellux Ocean Coral to the thumb.

Using a thin liner art brush, create a different coloured line through the pattern on each nail. I applied Lemon Meringue to the little finger, Vividly Violet to the ring finger, Ocean Coral to the middle finger, Purely White to the index finger and Jade's A Gem to the thumb. I also applied a circle of Lemon Meringue to the thumb and middle finger, Jade's A Gem to the ring finger and Purely White to the little finger. Cure for 60 seconds.

Use a dotting tool to apply random dots in Gellux Black Onyx to each white pattern. Cure for 60 seconds.

For that glossy finish, Gellux Shiny Top Coat was applied and cured for 60 seconds. Wipe the sticky residue with Gellux Prep + Wipe, before applying cuticle oil to finish.
