How to create a beautiful nail extension using fast forms

Andreea Simona Ignat Fast Forms Sbs

Step by Step

Multi award-winning nail tech & educator, Andreea Simona Ignat, shares a step-by-step using her Fast Forms in Slim Russian Almond, which she created in collaboration with UK nail brand, Lecenté. Read about the collaboration here.

Step 1
After prepping the nail, select the correct size for the fast form. The form should be one size bigger than the natural nail, so the gel doesn't flood around the cuticle or side walls.
Step 2
Apply a very soft layer of milky white gel on three quarters of the form and cure for five to 10 seconds.
Step 3
Apply a layer of clear gel on the rest of the extension and add your desired glitter, before curing for five to 10 seconds.
Step 4
Apply milky white gel like in the second step and clear gel over the glitter, and apply the form gently on the natural nail without pressing too hard. Cure for 15 seconds.
Step 5
Turn the nail and check its underside. If there is too much product, remove it then cure the nail for 60 seconds.
Step 6
Remove the fast form, remove the inhibition layer on the underside of the extension and start shaping the sides and free edge. Using a corn-shaped metallic E-file bit or a pointed conic bit, remove the natural nail from underneath, being careful not to damage the hyponychium.
Step 7
Apply top coat on the top and underside of the nail, and cure for 60 seconds.
