Nail tutorial: Decadent Valentine’s accent nail

Esteemed nail artist, Monika Kupien, reveals how to create this decadent ring finger design, perfect for Valentine’s Day, using Gelish products.
Step 1
Prep and shape the nails. Paint two coats of your chosen red Gelish Soak-off Gel Polish shade, curing in between, and complete with Gelish Top It Off top coat. Cure. On the ring finger, paint two coats of a nude Gelish Gel Polish shade, curing in between, followed by Matte Top It Off.
Step 2
Paint a heart on the ring finger nail using Gelish Art Form Gel in Essential Red. Cure for 30 seconds.
Step 3
Use Gelish Art Form Gel in Essential White and a thin brush to paint very fine swirls around the heart. Cure for 30 seconds.
Step 4
If desired, add sparkle by applying crystals around the heart, using nail glue or sealing with Top It Off then curing.
