Crackle & Pop
Step by Step
Recreate this bright, eye-catching crackle effect nail design in just eight steps with a helping hand from Vu Nail Systems and its range of colourful products, available via www.vunailsystems.com
Step 1
Perform cuticle work and prep the nail with an 180 grit file and RJ-vu's Dehydrate. Sanitise with Swipe solution.
Step 2
Apply a nail tip, cut to the desired length and blend. Apply ProBond to the natural nail.
Step 3
Apply a layer of clear One Phase SHINE gel to the entire nail and flash cure.
Step 4
Apply a base colour; we used Vu Nail Systems Gel-ato in 19. Flash cure.
Step 5
Apply one coat of the desired Crackle shade. Here, we used Gel-ato 62. Flash cure and allow to air dry for crackle to form.
Step 6
Apply a coat of Vu Nail Systems Gel-ato Base and flash cure.
Step 7
Fade desired glitter (we used TS17) up the nail. Apply juicy layer of clear One Phase SHINE gel then drip and drag gel to add shape and structure. Cure for two mins.
Step 8
Remove sticky residue with Swipe and refine shape and apply Oil RJ-Vu.
