Classic shadow French
Step by Step
Tina Bell, Pure Nails head of education, shows how to create a classic shadow French using Halo Polibuild.
Step 1
Prep the nail as normal.
Step 2
Choose your product of choice to create a reverse base. I chose Halo Polibuid in Sheer Pink.
Step 3
Create your smile, ensure it has a flat wall at the smile line. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 4
With a Halo Elite File, sharpen the smile line. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 5
With Halo Gel Polish in Black, go around the smile line and ensure all of the wall is covered. Don't worry if you go over onto the base. Cure for 30 seconds and repeat.
Step 6
Remove tacky layer and gel polish residue with Prep & Scrub.
Step 7
Use your product of choice to create the white tip. I chose Pure Nails EasiBuild.
Step 8
Cover the whole tip area with white EasiBuild, cure for 30 seconds.
Step 9
Buff the nail to shape and reveal the shadow design.
Step 10
Go over to refine shape with Halo Elite Buffer 100/180.
Step 11
Remove dust with the Plush Brush and Prep & Scrub.
Step 12
Apply Halo Gel Polish Non-Wipe Top Coat and cure for 30 seconds.
