Butterfly French tips
Step by Step
Salon System nail expert, Karen Louise, has created this French tip Butterfly step by step using GELLUX collection, Ready to Rock.
Step 1
Prepare the nails, file to shape, push back cuticle and gently buff the nail plate. Brush away any dust and wipe over with the GELLUX Prep + Wipe. Apply the GELLUX Fast Bond and let dry. Apply GELLUX Builder Gel in Light Natural, and cure. Wipe with GELLUX Prep + Wipe.
Step 2
Using a detailing brush, create your French tip/ butterfly wings at the tip of the nails. I used GELLUX shades Glamping on the pinky and thumb, Wow Factor on the index finger and ring finger and Rocker Bye Baby on the middle finger. Cure for 30 seconds.
Step 3
Using your detailing brush, create a zebra print across your French tip butterfly wing tips. I used GELLUX shades Dare To Wear on pinky and thumb, Live and Loud on the index and ring fingers then It’s an Attitude on the middle finger. Cure for 30 seconds. Using GELLUX Black Onyx create the body of the butterfly in the centre tip of the nail and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 4
Using a fine line brush, brushing towards the cuticle area of the nail create a flick of thin line and dot at the end then cure.
Step 5
Seal in your design with GELLUX Shiny Top Coat making sure to seal the edges and cure. Wipe the nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and apply GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil.
