This is a fixed term, 3 month freelance position: a field based, education/sales hybrid role. You will support brand users with education where needed, and manage an account base of salons, taking responsibility for your own diary.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will have overall responsibility for business growth within your territory of 60-80 accounts. Success will be achieved through a highly disciplined journey planning, visiting a minimum of three half-day education sessions per week and 12 business development appointments per week (8 current accounts; 4 prospect accounts). You will take a consultative approach with salon partners to grow their businesses, leveraging our portfolio of product and services to delight their customers.
- Deliver monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets in terms of overall territory turnover, number of buying accounts and specific brands turnover.
- You will communicate and educate your OPI customers face to face primarily, but also virtually and through social media. You should have a strong passion for creation and delivery of digital education in support of F2F plans.
- You will take ownership of the OPI Sales and Education plan for all salons including Joint Business Plan meetings to understand the key objectives for customers.
- Identify Prospect salons and work with the Area Team to GAIN new business for OPI brands including localised events.
- Attend annual training sessions (TTT)
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Teaching qualification: level 3 award in education and training (formerly PTLLS) or equivalent/higher.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Nail Technology.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a nail technician
- Manicure, Pedicure and Gel polish qualifications – preferably OPI.
- Confident with nail art. Excited by nails and product innovation with a knowledge of competitor products and industry news.
- You have at least 12-15 months direct selling experience in field based position(s).
- You have experience in using a consultative approach to business development
- You are very organised and operate with high level of discipline.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You are digitally savvy with Microsoft experience.
- Driven to beat competition by acting fast with new ideas executed superbly and find ways to make things happen: to realise their ideas and get them to grow our business fast.
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communicator who enjoys and is confident presenting to large groups.
- Very focused, organised and operates with a high level of discipline.
- Able to drive and willing to travel long distances when required, including staying over when needed.
