Tell us about your training…
I kicked off my basic training with an independent local organisation and then trained in PolyGel application and e-filing with Nail Harmony UK, and one stroke nail art with Moyra UK.
What is your all-time favourite nail product?
Gelish, PolyGel and CND SHELLAC™ are great for enhancements and I use Magpie Beauty glitters, dusts and gel polish shades as well as Moyra UK stamping plates for nail art. I love IBX and the amazing results it achieves and find Dadi’Oil to be very hydrating. I turn to Footlogix for all pedicure needs.
What designs do you love to create?
Candy ball nail art is fascinating and I also like 3D nail art, which I have been practicing with PolyGel and 3D gels. I follow Nail Sunny on Instagram and love its wacky, incredible creations!
What are your next steps?
I’m fairly new to this industry and want to continue learning, perfecting my skills and creating beautiful nails without compromising the health of the natural nail. I enjoy working from home around my three children and would like to think that one day I could become an educator and help others. I just wish I’d discovered my passion for nails years ago!
Who do you admire in the industry?
I am inspired by the work of Sophie Hudd, Amy Rickaby and Anona Grice (Nona Philippa). Their work always looks immaculate. I am also inspired by Nail Harmony educator, Jill Shrigley, as she has been so supportive.
