What to look for in a professional lash brand

Ruth Atkins, lash expert and Salon System educator, reveals some points to consider when selecting a lash brand or training provider…
“When a technician is looking for a lash brand and lash training, professionals should consider a few important things. Choose a reputable brand that has all UK and EU safety standards covered. Buy from a reputable source to ensure what you’re buying is the real thing and not an imitation.
“Make sure your brand has years of experience in this field with testimonials and support. Check that the brand has lots of stock options on offer, as you should never mix brand products together. Stick rigidly to the manufactures instructions and how you’ve been trained. If you don’t you might find that your insurance is null and void if something goes wrong.
“When looking for training make sure you go with an accredited company with years of experience. Ask the training company about the trainer themselves, as you’ll want someone with industry experience as well as teaching qualifications and comes with all the necessary insurances. Always check that the certificate you receive will allow you to obtain your necessary insurance to practise.
“Also ask about ongoing support from your training company if you feel you’re not ready to perform treatment, as a good reputable training company will have support in place and on-going training options for you.”
