WHAT I’M WEARING: Melissa Whiffen, Moonstruck Nail Studio

We want to see what you’re wearing on your nails!
Melissa Whiffen, of Moonstruck Nail Studio, wears a nail look inspired by her local hockey team.
“I created these nails using Artistic Colour Gloss in Swag for the base colour. I used Wildflowers and LCN nail paints to create the shade for the Growler design. I used the Ugly Duckling Nails Detailer and Detailer 2 brushes for creating and painting the team logo on the nails. To add a touch of colour, I added bronze foil diagonally so the black background is still seen. I then used the piercing bit of an E-File to add two hoops. I finished with Light Elegance Super Shiny and the Ugly Duckling Matte Top Coat over the artwork.
“I was inspired by our local Hockey Team Newfoundland Growlers logo as I’m a huge fan of hockey and show my support to our teams when attending games right down to theming my nails to different events!
“I love how overall this set is not too bold, when usually my nails are very vibrant and colourful! The artwork stands out with the matte and the touch of shimmer from the foil and hoops brings the finished look together without making the look to overpowering.”
