Lauren Holmes, of Nailed It Beauty, painted poppies on her nails in honour of Remembrance Day.

“These nails were created using Gelish colours Sheek White for my middle and ring finger and Angling For A Kiss on my other fingers, with a layer of Magpie Beauty Glitter in Poppy over the top. I hand painted the poppies and writing on with my Gelish Striper Brush.

“I have been painting poppies on my nails for the last three or four years now for Remembrance Day. I originally did them because I had a paper poppy on my coat that kept falling off and getting caught on things. So I thought in my line of work it would be nicer to paint one on my nails as more people would take notice of them anyway. They were a total hit with my clients so I decided it would be a nice easy way for me to raise a little bit of money for the Poppy Appeal by donating £1 form every set of poppy nails I do.

“I love that loads of my clients chose this design to show their support for the cause. Even clients that would never normally have nail art always try out a poppy nail.”
