Kayley Cairns Nails

We want to see what you’re wearing on your nails!

Kayley Cairns, multi award winning tech and Hazel Dixon Nail Artist & Academy educator, wears a dreamy pastel lilac nail look.

“These nails were predominantly created using liquid and powder on sculpting forms. The French ombré was created by blending HD Professional acrylic in Polar White down toward the cuticle. I then blended HD Professional acrylic in Silk Rose over the white before capping in clear. For the pinky finger, before capping the ombre in clear I applied HD Professional acrylic in Snowdrops and blended down towards the white. For the ring and index finger I applied Silk Rose using the reverse method with a thin clear base for the free edge. I used HD Professional tack-free art gel to paint the ‘wall’ created by the reverse technique and then a thin layer just in front of the wall. This was capped in clear and then repeated for each colour change. Once filed into shape, I topped all nails with HD Professional Shine It! Top Coat.

“I saw a nail deign by @rilana_de_valk back at the start of October and instantly wanted to figure it out and have a go! I love the depth in this nail look created by the shadowing, it’s so interesting – the soft colours together are very pretty, also, making it a fairly feminine look.”
