WHAT I’M WEARING: Kayley Cairns

We want to see what you’re wearing on your nails!
Kayley Cairns, of Hazel Dixon Nail Artist & Academy, wears peachy hues alongside dusky pink and lilac tones in an ombre nail design featuring cuticle crystals and swirling glitter.
“I sculpted these nails using liquid and powder, blended to create the ombre. For a little sparkle I applied a tiny amount of the coloured powder in a wiggle across the nail and then, while it was wet, pressed a little Lecenté Golden White Multi-Glitz Glitter over it, before capping in clear.
“I created them for the Scratch Stars judging day – part of the criteria includes that you should look professional and appear a good representative of our industry – so my nails needed to be presentable! I had also only just got my hands on the new HD Professional Liquid and Powder line that launched the week before so I’d been dying to have a play with it!
“The design was really inspired by the colours in the range – I was desperate to do an ombre using the Natural White but equally I wanted to use the Snapdragon (the coral shade) so I wanted a design that would incorporate the two colours without being too fussy.
“I love the simplicity of the design and the way the little bit of sparkle just finishes it off, I’m not a pink girl so for me this kind of set is a real summer style – perfect in this current weather!”
