WHAT I’M WEARING: Emma Stanton, Nails 2 Inspire
By Sophie Nutt | 25 August 2019 | Feature, Tech Talk

We want to see what you’re wearing in the office!
Emma Stanton wears a palette of pastels on her nails adorned with crystals to create a seaside-inspired design.
“I created this design using a mixture of several colours all available from Team Gorgeous. On my thumb I used Skinny Dip, Duchess, Kawaii Blue and Olympia all marbled, picking up small beads of each one and swirling them together to create a wave-style marble. I then added a little bit of Sonia Williams glitter for added sparkle and capped in Coconut Ice.
“For my index finger I wanted to just show the pure beauty of Kawaii Blue so I applied this to the whole nail and again capped in Coconut Ice. For the middle finger I wanted to really incorporate that seaside vibe so I started with Duchess at the free edge and then, using small beads of Kawaii Blue, I blended this into Duchess creating a subtle ombre followed by Skinny Dip once I was happy with my blend. I then capped this as well.
“For the ring finger, I carried on the ombré theme but with some seriously gorgeous sparkle. I started this time at the cuticle area using Skinny Dip and blended towards the free edge. I then used a bit of blue glitter followed by Team Gorgeous Olympia acrylic, facing it towards the cuticle. I then capped in Coconut Ice. For the little finger I wanted it to be pretty plain so finished it with Skinny Dip. I then filed and refined using Team Gorgeous Top Gloss and, once cured, used a bit of Emoki Cuticle Oil.
“This design was actually inspired by my six-year-old little girl that wanted mummy to have beach nails. She was super happy with my creation and I think it resembles a day at the seaside perfectly. My favourite bit of this design is the crystals against the matte blue – it creates such a beautiful contrast and really catches the light.”
