We want to see what you’re wearing on your nails!

Chantelle Crerand, of Chantelle’s Pretties, created mermaid-inspired nails for a family holiday to the seaside.

“I created these nails on my hard gel nails infill – they were for a family holiday away to the seaside town of Scarborough/Whitby! I was inspired by the fashionable mermaid theme that is trending at the minute, with the beach theme also fitting in well because of the seaside town I was going to.

“I used ibd Builder Gel for my structure. I then used The Manicure Company gel polish in the colours of Vibrant Sky and Tealing Lies on two of my nails and blended to create a vertical ombre effect. I then coated in a non-wipe top coat and used a neon blue chrome pigment powder and rubbed over to create the shiny look. On one of the nails I also used a MoYou Stamping Plate for the mermaid scale effect. On the glitter nails, I opted for the traditional falling glitter ombre effect using NSI glitters in Aqua and Holographic Silver. The crystals I used are from Eimass – they are Swarovski Elements in the colours of Aquamarine, Crystal Clear and Clear AB, with the odd Gold Hematite jewel. The shells are a Born Pretty reel of different beach items (shells, starfish, etc.).

“I absolutely love this design as I have created mermaid nails for many of my clients and it was now time to create them on myself. I love my nails so much that I even purchased a bath bomb to match them!”
