Sinead Bulley, of The Nail Shack, reveals autumn-friendly dandelion-inspired nails have been popular with her clients recently.

“I think this particular nail design has been popular because its that in-between time of year where we transition between seasons so it’s nice subtle nod to autumn without being too drastic. Also, everybody always loves a bit of glitter!

“To create this design I used the Magpie Beauty gel colour in Marvellous Mavis applied to the pinkie and index fingers, Crikey Nora applied to the ring finger, and Whoa Nelly on the middle finger and thumb. I applied two coats to each nail before curing for 60 seconds each.

“I then applied Etta-Rose Foil to the pinkie and index finger, before finishing with a matte top coat. For the dandelion, using Black Betty, I painted the stalk and centre using the detailer brush and cured for 60 seconds. After this, I mixed Magpie Beauty glitter in Gabby and some Magpie Beauty Give Me Strength to make a pliable paste. I applied this using a dotting tool around the edge of the dandelion centre and around the cuticle of the middle and thumb nails before curing for 60 seconds. I then finished with Shine Bright.

“I love that they are simple but really effective. The little glitter dandelion is just so cute and super easy to create so perfect design for a busy nail tech. Also, the colours in this design, I think, really compliment each other.”
