Laura Peat, of Simply Koko, reveals that warmer autumnal shades are making a comeback.

“As we are coming more in to the autumn and winter months I have found that my clients are ditching the once sought after neons and the darker shades are making a comeback! This is giving me a perfect opportunity to experiment and create some fantastic darker designs.

“I started off this set by using Nail Harmony UK’s Gelish in Good Gossip, which is a fantastic red glitter polish and is a definite favourite as we approach Christmas. After applying and curing two coats of this colour, I then started to ombré Gelish in Black Shadow onto the tips using a blending sponge. I built up the ombré by repeatedly dabbing the gel up the nail, flash curing as I went to get a more even result. I then fully cured and finished with a high gloss top coat.

“I love this look as it gives a real stunning gothic feel to the nails and brings a bit of sparkle with having the red glitter – perfect for the winter months ahead!”
