Katie Ru, of Katie Ru Nail Design, reveals fun 90s trends are proving popular with her clients.
“Lately I’ve been feeling like the 90s are having a huge comeback at my nail desk. My clients are loving all the old school nail trends at the moment and so do I. These are so much fun to do and they look amazing!
“This set was created from all of my requested and favourite designs lately and I absolutely love the way it turned out.
“As always I used my favourite brand ever, The Gel Bottle Inc, and created a natural nail overlay with BIAB Baby, then proceeded with a base of each individual nail design. On one hand I used The Gel Bottle gel polish in Elderflower as a base and the other was The Gel Bottle in Periwinkle. After curing the base, I added some lines and shading using The Gel Bottle in Orange Princess and V001. Once cured I added the fine lines using a small detailing brush and black gel paint. The last step was to finish with the Extreme Shine Top Coat.
“I love experimenting so much and always wanted to combine all of these designs together. I’m very happy with the way it turned out! It’s far from simple but was so worth the time, as it looks absolutely incredible!”
