Katie Ru, of Katie Ru Nail Design, reveals that summer floral designs have been a big hit with her clients during the heatwave that has hit the U.K. over the past few weeks.
“With it being summer, floral designs have been very popular with my clients – as nothing resembles summer vibes better than flowers and bright colours, which is exactly what I was going for in this gorgeous design.
“I used The Gel Bottle Inc. in nude and white hues to create an ombre effect, using an ombre brush to soften the blend. After I did this twice to create the desired look, I then proceeded with Alexa Nails Art Gel Paints. When painting the flower, you shouldn’t worry too much about the way it looks when layering your colours: it can look very messy, but the end is where all of the magic happens once you add the black lining and dots using a thin detailer brush. Once this is done top coat and cure!
“I love creating colourful sets like this one as it goes with pretty much anything you wear. It looks great and its perfect for any occasion – holidays, weddings… You name it!”
