Karen M Brown, of Sanctuary In The City, has revealed that alternative festive designs have been favoured by her clients this season: throwing out the greens and reds.

“Not everyone whats red, gold and green nails at Christmas. These were a festive design for my client, but she didn’t want anything too Christmassy as her nails were for Christmas and New Year. They are definitely a part set and give a regal, warm effect: dark and mysterious.

“I created this set using my own brand of acrylic powders – Gelica. In this set I have blended our shimmering midnight blue and black, before adding gold shards from the Sonia Williams glitter collection. I have also added Crystal Parade crystals for that extra sparkle.

“I absolutely love this set as the midnight blue is so shimmery and effective. I also love the contrast of the blue and gold, which I think gives the nails that gorgeous regal look that can be worn any time of the year and definitely for a special occasion.”
