Talented tech, Karen Brown, reveals pastel rainbow designs have been popular with clients on her social media platforms.
“I think this set has been popular because they are summery and girly. We are lucky to have had so much lovely sunshine and this set definitely gives the feel of summer!
“My client asked for pastels, but any design, so I got to create and play with my products. I am working from home now doing press-on nails, so I am not using monomer in the house due to the overpowering odour. So, to achieve these blends, I used acrylic powders and Gelica Base Gel! It has been a new technique for me and it works perfectly, and it also means I can continue creating various designs with powders and gels. For this set, on the ring finger I used Gelica Base Gel and then sprinkled the different coloured acrylic powders in different areas to give the colour blend effect – this technique has been tricky but once you get to know what your products can do together it really opens up so many combinations and looks. Inspiration for this look was happy, summer feels!
“I love this look because blends are timeless and can be done with any colour! These colour combinations are just perfect for the summer sunshine. I’m so glad I am still able to do nails for my clients and give them a little bit of normality in these trying times.”
