Karen Brown, of Sanctuary In The City, reveals Billie Eilish-inspired nails have been popular with her clients recently.
“Billie Eilish is the talk of the red carpet at the minute and her current hair colours, as well as her general style, were my full inspiration for this set. Louis Vuitton-themed nails have also been one of my favourite trends of the past year, too. Billie also released her James Bond theme song last week so it seemed only fitting to create Billie Eilish-themed nails!
“For this design I created a full acrylic nail enhancement on stiletto-shaped tips. I painted one coat of Gelica Gel Polish in Black Raven on one hand and one coat of Gelica Gel Polish in Envious on the other. I used Louis Vuitton nail stickers for the art, however I didn’t have green Louis Vuitton stickers so on the black nails I hand painted the logos in white so that the two hands could. match – but luckily I had black stickers for the green nails.
“I then painted the flames, again using Gelica, before topping with the Gelica No Wipe Top Gel. A big shout out to our new team member at Sanctuary In The City, Billy Comrie, for teaching me how to perfect my flames!
“I love these nails because they really stand out and grab your attention. Making two hands different colours also adds a bit of edge to the set. Black paired with neon green is such an amazing contrast of colours and they are just so eye-catching. These were for my client’s birthday and she loved them so much – totally rocking the Billie Eilish look and everyone needs a little bit of Louis Vuitton in their life!”
