Hayley, of Hayley J’s Nails, reveals abstract monochrome nail looks have been popular with her client’s recently.
“Lately people want to try something a little different and interesting so that their nails create a topic of conversation. That’s why abstract designs are so popular, as you can be as tame or as wild as you want depending on colour choice and intricacy.
“The base for this set is hard gel from The Gel Bottle, GelPot #4, over natural nails followed by random white patches using The Gel Bottle Inc gel polish in Daisy. To create the dots I used a double-ended dotting tool with The Gel Bottle Inc gel polish in Jet Black and placed them in clusters over the pink and white. To finish, I used The Gel Bottle Extreme Shine Top Coat.
“This design is so fun and eye-catching but subtle at the same time because of the colours used. As a nail tech I get a lot of joy out of being creative with nail designs and these ones were top.”
