Gemma Sunderland, of Gemma Sunderland Nails, reveals that navy blue hues and deep purple tones have been popular with her clients during the autumn transition.

“I think this design has been so popular because of the change in season and the colours. Navy blue and deep purples are always popular with my clients during autumn/winter and the chameleon flakes give the nails an autumnal feel with the gold and purple tones. Clients have mentioned that they look like falling leaves.

“I created this design by first sculpting the stiletto using CJP Crystal Glass. After filing and buffing the nails, I then added two coats of Goddess Gel Polish in Moonshine. I then added Sparklies Chameleon Flakes in gold/purple to the cuticle area and lightly brushed the excess product to the tip of the nail, giving it a cascading effect. I then finished with Goddess Hero Top Coat.

“This colour is my favourite at the moment out of my entire collection, and I love the effect of the chameleon flakes. I usually use a lot of Swarovski crystals and glitter in my nail designs and with this I didn’t feel it needed anything else – it’s super simple and perfect for busy periods in the salon!”
