Arlene Fraser, of Nails By Arlene, reveals rainbow marble has been popular with her clients recently.
“Marble is so versatile, there are a number of different marble techniques using gel polish, acrylic marble ink and other materials but the acrylic method has to be my favourite. You can add clear to the mix for a bit more depth, you can add white for a little bold statement or you can add glitter (because who doesn’t love glitter)!
“I used small/medium beads of coloured acrylic and sat them all beside each other on the tip. I shaped my acrylic brush into a point and gently dragged it through the colours (being careful not to much them together too much). I had to make sure zone two was blended in order to get a seamless look. I wanted the marble to be the sole focus so I finished them off with some simple Swarovski crystals.
“I love how bold these nails are. I wanted each hand to be different colours because these were holiday nails and I wanted them to really stand out. I messed about with loads of colours before I narrowed it down to six. The colours I chose are amazing together – I was just super happy with the end result.”
