Arlene Fraser, of Nails By Arlene, reveals that designs seeing super cute flamingo feature nails have been popular with her clients recently – especially those lucky enough to be jetting off on holiday.
“Most of my clients have been jetting off to the sunshine (leaving me a tad jealous)! When the ladies think of holiday designs, they usually ask for sunshine, palm trees, beaches and, of course, flamingos. My client came to me with a screenshot from Instagram of nails created by the amazingly talented Angieszka – her work is flawless.
“I created the design using gel polish – Halo and Premier Gel. I also used INK London Gel Paints for subtle outlining and small detail and my Lecenté detail brushes were perfect for the job, too. I started with an outline of the flamingo and blended the outline in towards the centre of the design, adding darker spots for shadowing and glitter for added awesomeness! It was great to see the design come together bit by bit.
“I love this look because it’s so different – not just your usual polish and glitter request. It turns heads, gets people talking and let’s face it – who doesn’t love a flamingo? I felt so proud of this set and can’t quite believe I recreated this little masterpiece as well as I did.”
