Alicia Clough, of Lunula Nails and Beauty, has found requests for cosmic nails have skyrocketed.

“One of my regular clients, who always likes to set me a challenge, asked for cosmic nails,” Alicia explains, “Now, it has sparked off a bit of a trend at my nail desk!

“I try not to do the same nails twice, so I have done the intergalactic mani in lots of variations of colours. I think the nails have been super popular as they are colourful and sparkly.

“To create the look I used Cuccio Veneer Gel Polish. Firstly I painted the nails a solid colour. Then I used a small sponge on the end of my tweezers to do random white patches on the nails. Over the white patches I used the sponge to lightly pat two more colours into the nail. After this step I did a layer of Out of this World, which is a glitter set into a clear base. I used a tiny dotting tool to put a few white polka dots and stars, before applying Cuccio Veneer top coat. Creating this look was really fun and my clients love it!”
