The top 5 male celebs rocking man-icures

Man-icures aren’t a new concept, just think back to rock n roll legend David Bowie! However, they are certainly making a statement come back. After all, our bodies are just a creative canvas really, aren’t they? Here’s a list of male A-listers that think so too, some of which may even be releasing their own nail lines…  

1. Harry Styles

When I think, beauty and fashion icon, I think Mr Harry Styles. An advocate for genderless fashion statements, proving the sky is the limit for self-expression, not manicures. Cast your minds back to the most recent Met Gala, the ‘Sign of the Times’ singer rocked a black and teal nail look accessorised with eight chunky, gold rings. Two of the rings saw his initials, H and S, just in case anyone forgot who he was! It has also been revealed that Harry will be releasing his own nail polish on November 29th as part of his Pleasing brand.

2. Marc Jacobs

Matching manicure to designer bag? It’s a must from Marc who regularly takes to Instagram to flaunt his new nails in a staple car post. His trusty celebrity nail tech @nailsbymei never fails to impress, often adding pearl and jewel decals for an added glam factor.

3. Machine Gun Kelly

Did someone say MGK nail polish line? After years of breaking boundaries with his innovative manicures, Nail company Unlisted Brand Lab finally confirmed the singer’s collaboration, UN/DN, earlier this year. The details were vague, posting a teaser onto their Instagram page of MGK sporting a white overlay manicure with differing graphic designs on each nail. This isn’t his first dip into the industry though, having previously released three polishes in conjunction with the release of his album, Tickets to My Downfall, last year.

4. Lil Yachty

Another star to launch a nail brand is American rap and hip-hop artist, Lil Yachty. The brand, Crete Co, was set up following the suspension of a young boy from school because he had his nails painted. The artist decided to rebel by launching his own brand to quite literally painting over gender norms.  

5. ASAP ROCKY

If there’s anything ASAP ROCKY likes it is a bold nail design. From smiley faces, to eyeballs, to flames, to flags there is nothing the rapper has not incorporated into his manicures.
