Chloe Crook Nail Tech Talk

Scratch catches up with nail tech, Chloe Crook, to learn more about her industry journey…

Chloe Crook

Chloe Crook from Ashford, Kent entered the nail industry in 2018. “The reason why was because I suffer with bad anxiety and doing nails for me is so soothing and relaxing,” she explains. “What’s more, my nails were in bad condition and I wanted to help myself and others to achieve healthy, natural nails.”

Chloe works as a mobile nail tech in the weekday evenings and rents a room from which to carry out appointments on Saturdays, which she enjoys. “My signature nail would be a glittery one as when I started with nails, so many clients wanted bright colours and glitter,” she says. “My favourite nails that I have created would be this glittery patterned design (pictured) as they were so fun to create!”

Her future goals are to buy a house with her boyfriend and convert a spare room into a beauty room for her appointments. “I cannot wait to decorate it and buy cute pink things for the room.”

Chloe admires many nail techs in the industry. “A few would be Jayne Todman, @NailsbyChloej, @k.lbeautyx and @FayeBeautyx on Instagram. My favourite products would be Ethel from Navy Pro Tools and Builder in a Bottle from The Gel Bottle Inc. They both have changed my nail game so much.”

The highlight of her career so far is improving her social media pages, in particular her Instagram page. “I cannot believe the followers, likes and comments I get,” she says. “Thinking back to when I started, I never ever thought I would get to this stage in my career.”
