The Christmas countdown has started, and hopefully you’re seeing a rise in the number of bookings filling up your appointment book as everyone wants to look their best over the festive season. Communicate with your clients
Building strong relationships with your clients takes time, energy and commitment, but is a core component to success. While your customers come to you for your skills, they also benefit from your industry knowledge. Take the time to chat to your clients and educate them on what you know. For instance, how when applying glitter to nails at home, they should always apply a base coat, as this will mean the glitter is easier to remove in the long-run. Going the extra mile will show them you care, and keep them coming back for more.
Prioritise festive retailing
With Christmas just around the corner, what better way is there to spread some cheer than with festive nails? From glittery varnishes and sophisticated deep red tones, to snowy-white shades with gem embellishments, December is the perfect time to encourage your customers to jazz up their looks.
It’s also gifting season, so make sure to place gift-sets are in prime position in your retail area. Also, remember to chat to your clients about what your favourite products are this season to help with their shopping list.
Say thank you
It might seem old fashioned, but consider emailing or sending ‘thank you’ notes to your loyal clients post-Christmas, acknowledging their ongoing custom and wishing them a happy new year. And why not include a voucher for a free treatment in the new year if they bring a friend? Word of mouth is, after all, one of the best forms of marketing — and it’s free!
