Gemini Lad has been in the beauty industry since 2006, setting up her first beauty salon in Bath in her early 20s before moving salons to work as a beauty salon manager in the north of England.
“I ended up moving back down south, so on 1 April 2022, I opened T’studio.”
“I’d like to expand in the next 5 years,” Gemini explains. “However, right now, the focus is on this place.”
“It’s just me working at the salon and I love it that way.”
“The branding is all northern themed, as I left the north.
“I wanted to take some of the north back with me, hence the name T’studio,” she smiles. “There’s a couple of bits of northern themed artwork, too!”
“I offer waxing, threading and gel nails,” Gemini reveals. “I specialise in threading.
“I love Shellac for gel nails.”
“I went for a boho decor,” she says. “I wanted to make this space more like a self care studio, a bit more casual.
“I originally trained as an artist, so went for more of an art studio feel.”
“I wanted to achieve a relaxed studio more than a beauty salon vibe and I hope the decor resembles that.
“I’ve put my personality into the decor,” Gemini laughs. “There’s pictures of northern sayings, a cat version of a Lowry painting and a pink Freddie Mercury print!”
