With two locations in the heart of London, Townhouse Nail Salon has become a go-to destination for nail appointments thanks to its chic setup.
Awarded with a Scratch Stars Awards 2020/21 finalist status in the Nail Salon of the Year category for its flagship Great Portland Street location, the salon has since expanded with a second setup in the prestigious department store, Harrods, in Knightsbridge last year.
“I opened Townhouse in May 2018 with a view to creating a different experience in the nail industry – beautiful interiors, elegant nail art, cutting edge in-salon technology and flawless customer service – all delivered by a team hand picked to deliver the best experience,” smiles founder Juanita Huber-Millet.
“Although there is a lot of choice in the local area, we quickly became a hit both with locals and people travelling from further afield. We were lucky enough to be featured across fashion, beauty and industry press – including in Scratch, which was one of our proudest moments.
“It’s been a wild ride since and as well as building a loyal client base, we have been fortunate to collaborate with some fantastic and renowned brands, including Chantecaille and Elemis, as well as hosting events for the likes of Elle, L’Oréal, Morgan Stanley and many more.
“Townhouse’s speciality is nail art – beautiful looks that are elegant enough to be worn to a meeting; stylish enough to be worn out to dinner.”
“Health and cleanliness – which have come really into focus with coronavirus – have been key areas of focus for us since we opened. All our tools either single use (and recycled) or sterilised in a hospital-grade sterilisation unit.”
The décor in both locations has helped the salon chain truly stand out, creating a calm yet stylish setup. “I wanted the space to feel fresh and welcoming for the modern client,” states Juanita. “The interiors are a chic colour palette of grey tones met with delicate pink colour pops. The space is designed to suit different experiences ranging from a quick lunch break refresh to a luxury treat style experience.
“Our salon interiors are stylish, minimalistic and contemporary. The space feels welcoming and stylish, but also thoughtfully laid out both for customers and our team. Almost all aspects of the interiors were bespoke made to deliver exactly the effect we were looking for.”
When asked how it felt to be named a Scratch Stars Awards finalist, Juanita attributes the accolade to the salon’s work ethic. “Myself and my team work everyday to deliver results for customers but being recognised by others in the industry is at the next level,” she smiles. “Scratch is one of the most well known name in nails in the UK and its an honour to be chosen as a finalist.
“The recognition that comes from the awards means a huge amount to our team, particularly in the stop-start times of Covid-19 which has challenged us all. We are delighted to be part of something so special.”
