SALON IN THE SPOTLIGHT The Pink Room, Fair Oak, Southampton

Taking the leap, Verity Evans moved her home salon to a new high street location. Unmissable thanks to its shades of pretty pink, the salon is reaping the rewards of its move.  “We expanded from being a cosy log cabin to a bustle high street in a village,” owner Verity Evans explains.

Having worked in a variety of salon and even teaching beauty therapy at Eastleigh College, Verity knew what she wanted to achieve with her salon. “Our salon is modern yet classy. It’s really important our clients feel at home, as well as safe and comfortable in the salon. We ourselves take pride in being friendly and kind.”

Open since Novemebr last year, the salon has proved popular. “I wanted the salon to be cosy but friendly and approachable,” Verity explains. “We went for pastel colours with pink tones and kept a neutral canvass with the white. Everyone says how cosy it is and how homely it feels. The Pink Room had to be pink – but a classy shade!

“We offer all services under one roof, from massages and facials, manicures and pedicures to waxing; hair treatments to wedding hair and make up. We use CND SHELLAC™, Gel II and IBX for our nail treatments, as well as Dermalogica and a variety of hair brands. We also offer pamper parties from the salon.”
