The Odyssey Spa in Stevenage prides itself on providing a relaxing, holistic experience thanks to warming Moroccan touches in its décor. “We have a Moroccan theme throughout the spa,” explains spa director, Tiffany Harding-Aucott. “We wanted a spa that was dark and cosy for our clients to completely relax in.”
The spa’s relaxation room is testament to that, with its warm colours, draped fabric and lanterns. “Our relaxation suite is very different to most spas; we focus on the little details and our clients want for nothing,” smiles Tiffany. “Relaxation is what it is all about.”
The team work hard to ensure this attention to detail is also felt in every treatment. “I have been at the spa for over 10 years now, but it has been open for nearly 20 years,” explains Tiffany. When I joined it was the last roll of the dice as it had been struggling. At this time we also changed our skin treatments to Elemis and, since, the spa has grown by over 700%. We are now one of the largest Elemis accounts in the UK!
“The spa’s brand selection also includes CACI, Jessica, GELeration, Brows by Mii, Kissed by Mii, Mii Cosmetics, Lash Perfect, Scentered and Hair Gain.
“The spa has grown from a two-room salon to a nine room spa. We built a beautiful Moroccan relaxation suite about six years ago, redesigned the whole of the spa reception to include a three-station nail bar, waiting and retail area.
Next, we plan to convert two squash courts into private spa dining, new reception, an Elemis retail shop with a Skin Lab and Express Bar. There will also be a Mind & Body Studio built above. The old reception area will then become a manicure/pedicure and make-up area.”
To add to every spa experience, the spa offers upgrades. “Our complimentary GO SPA Upgrade makes us unique,” explains Tiffany. “Every client who spends over £45 on treatments will receive a complimentary upgrade, this includes full use of the spa have health club, dressing gown, towel and slippers, hot drinks and a glass of prosecco.”
