Salon in the Spotlight: The Nail and Beauty Specialist, Wiltshire

“I started my journey in the corner of my kitchen at my little fold away table in 2016, just doing gel polish manicures,” smiles Amber-Jane McLeod. “From there, I have gone on to become a Level 3 Beauty Therapist and Level 3 Nail Technician, as well as pro stylist with HD Brows.”

With her polished skills and a client book bursting, Amber-Jane McLeod knew it was time to improve her working environment, too. “I needed to have a bigger, better space so invested in a log cabin,” explains Amber-Jane. “I gained permission and started my new venture in my garden it was best decision I have ever made. Working for myself and being my own boss being able to choose my hours around my children and home life really has been a big benefit.”

The cosy cabin has created a warm environment for Amber-Jane’s clients to unwind. “I kept the decoration of the cabin clean, minimal white furniture and kept the cabin as it was inside to keep the natural fee. I added accessories of fur throws and beautifully fragranced wax melts, created by a fellow local business. Outside, I painted cabin grey. Everyone has commented on how lovely and relaxing it is.

“Customer experience means so much to me,” Amber-Jane continues. “I care so much about each client and I think this is what made me stand and made the cabin unique.” As well as a comprehensive nail menu, Amber-Jane also offers HD Brows, Sienna X tanning and lash lifts using Lash NV.

Not resting her laurels, Amber-Jane is set to take her career to the next level. “I have been so lucky to been invited to complete my educators training with Nail Artists UK and Fiona Agnew,” Amber-Jane smiles. “I am so excited as my dream has always been to teach my hard work training has finally paid off. I am so excited for the future with Nail Artist UK.

“I would like to try for more and stay focused; working hard to better myself and keep my clients receiving the best I can offer.”
