Salon in the Spotlight: The Lavender Rooms, Taunton

Having been established for eight years, The Lavender Rooms was created by duo, Catherine Bunning and Charlotte Patch. Located in the historic coach house at Hestercombe Gardens, the salon offers a tranquil setting for treatments.
“The salon has remained to its original ethos of offering a one on one bespoke service,” the Catherine and Charlotte reveal. “However, in January 2019 the salon saw a complete refurbishment and rebranding. Our plan for the future is continuing to offer a quality experience in a tranquil setting.”
With Catherine on hand to meet beauty needs, and Charlotte the hair side of things, the salon offers a wide range of treatments. “Our menu sees Calgel nail services, Jessica manicures and pedicures, as well as Elemis facials, Russian lashes and waxing with Outback Organic,” reveals Catherine. “Charlotte specialises in Goldwell Master Colour, Balmain hair extensions, advanced cutting and Olaplex Repair treatments.”
“We feel our salon offers a unique service to anything else in the area, being set amongst beautifully restored gardens and landscapes of Hestercombe Gardens,” smiles Charlotte. “Our salon sees historic and original features such as high beamed ceilings, historic wheels, and fireplaces are the centre of our look.
“We are different to anything else in the area because a visit to the Lavender Rooms, offers a one-to-one personal experience, you will be greeted and treated by just one expert. Welcoming clients into are calm tranquil environment, we like to offer a personal experience. Not only do we offer a range of high-class treatments, you can visit the salon to look at our collection of locally sourced products and gifts – ranging from home fragrance, skincare, haircare, handbags and accessories. Many clients feel that they are part of a private club!”
“When looking at our rebranding and new image, we were keen to give the salon a modern feel with a flavour of the original features,” adds Catherine. “Having researched we came to a simple fresh look, adding a botanical feel with plants and foliage. We now feel we add a modern flare to our salon whilst still working and enhancing the natural original beauty
“I think we can both say that since our new look, it has not only influenced our clients fantastic feedback and comments, but a fresh twist and add of flare to our passion and love for the industry.”
