The Gossip Nail Bar, Bristol

Promising dazzling nail design and a memorable salon experience, The Gossip Nail Bar was founded by influencer and plus size model-turned-nail technician, Emily Fisher.

“I opened The Gossip Nail Bar in December 2017,” explains Emily. “The salon launched partly out of frustration of not being able to find awesome nail art, in an Instagrammableenvironment in Bristol.

“Now, I believe we’re the cutest salon in the city offering amazing freehand, on-trend nail art.”

Matching the manicures walking out of the studio, the interior is bright, bursting with vibrancy and elements of Emily’s personality. Small but perfectly formed, the salon hosts two manicure desks. The back wall of the space sees a petite yet kitted out kitchen, complete with bright red Smeg fridge; ensuring the team is able to offer clients refreshments to kick start their quirky salon experience.

Decorated in pink and green hues, the salon hosts eye-catching details at every turn. Across the left wall, framed prints of sunny scenes and empowerment quotes are artfully arranged and lit up by punchy pink neon lights. Lush green plant leaves add burst of green to the salon interior – both printed and real. In an ode to the salon’s name, one neon sign blazes the words: If these walls could talk…

“I’m all about a tropical Miami vibe,” smiles Emily. “I also had to add a fun twist of the 80s and 90s style, as it’s just how I roll!

“I wanted to create a salon that was super Instagrammableand cute. I was keen to create a space that was nostalgic and felt like clients were chilling with friends in their bedroom! I was aware that there just weren’t any other salons that I truly enjoyed going to that felt relaxed with a great aesthetic. This drove me to creating my very own space.”

More than a fun environment, the salon prides itself on being welcoming. “The salon and the team are friendly, fun and relaxed,” enthuses Emily. “And, importantly, we are inclusive of all.

“Clients can sit back, enjoy the salon’s quirky décor and walk out with the cutest nails, too!”
