The Duchess SummerHouse Salon Dudley

Situated in a summerhouse in her family garden, Leanda Priya Kenny’s set-up offers a serene and chic space for clients to enjoy their treatments.

“My partner built the summerhouse around six years ago,” Leanda explains. “Half way through my Level 3 Nail Technician course, I knew the nail industry was my passion and my next adventure in life.

“The summerhouse started to slowly turn into a place for me to practice, until the penny dropped: it was going to be my first salon.”

The decision made perfect sense to Leanda as the space was more than big enough to see her nail desk and a further private room to allow for further treatment expansion too. “I believe my salon is unique in my area,” she smiles. “It has been built with love and there’s a true sense of relaxation and luxury.

“The bi-folding door stretch from one side to the other, and give a sense of space and light. It’s almost like you’re sitting in the garden. It’s just a wonderful place to work and get inspired as it overlooks the nearby nature reserve’s treetops. When I have the doors open, you can hear the birds singing and the trickle of water from my garden water feature.

“I wanted to keep the décor clean and crisp fresh looking. I wanted to soften the look of the salon with vintage pink and rose gold shades, which can be seen in the fluffy rugs to chairs and cushions on the leather sofa. I added chandeliers to add a bit of sass and glamour.

“When client have a pedicure, they are sat right by the doors so can look out into the garden. They all comment on how relaxing it is to get such a quiet experience, with no hustle and bustle from a busy salon.

“The summerhouse is a truly wonderful place to work.”
