While pregnant with her third son and living abroad with her military husband, Kayliegh Winspear sought independence in her life. In summer 2019, she began doing nails professionally. “My parents didn’t approve of me doing beauty at college, but it had always been a dream of mine.”

“We moved back to the UK in July 2020, which meant I had to rebuild my client base from scratch,” Kayliegh remembers. “I’m originally from the north east, which meant when we moved to Hampshire, I didn’t know anyone other than my husband and children.

“It was also at the peak of Covid, so it was incredibly difficult to get clients in.”

“Fast forward to 2022, and I pride my self in being Navy Salon Rated, specialising in natural nails using The GelBottle.

“I now also offer Elim pedicures, Nouveau lash treatments, and I do eyebrows, too,” she shares. “It’s important to me that I use good quality products that are also cruelty free.”

“The Beauty Spot has gone from strength to strength.

“I have big dreams for the future,” Kayliegh smiles. “I would love to open a high street salon on the south coast one day.”

“When designing my home salon, I wanted it to feel like a calm space for myself and my clients,” she explains. “Welcoming clients into my home is such a personal experience.

“I hope that every client feels relaxed when they come to The Beauty Spot.”

“I couldn’t wait to create my signature sign.

“It’s one of my favourite parts of the salon,” Kayliegh enthuses. “It’s like the heart of my space!”

“Having three sons means coming to work in The Beauty Spot never feels like work.

“It allows me to be creative and girly,” she beams. “I absolutely love it.”

“I’m a big believer in following your dreams,” Kayliegh reveals. “Life is too short for what if’s.

“It’s never too late to try!”
