Starting out part-time, offering evening appointments alongside her office job, Rachel Enriles dreamt of owning her own salon space. “My career started around six years ago when I set out with a few gel polish shades and a lamp,” she smiles.
“I decided I wanted a more permanent base so I rented a few rooms above a hairdressers. This really helped build up my clientele. I quickly outgrew the space and moved to my current salon where I have been for just under three years.”

Now, Rachel works from The Beauty Bar. “We are a salon that offers such a wide range of treatments,” she smiles. “My clients love how they can get their nails, lashes, brows, facials and more all under one roof.
“I now have a team of therapists. I employ two others and just before lockdown last year started to train up a third. Last year I started also offering accredited training and this is a real passion for me. This year I will be expanding the academy. I love sharing my tips with students and hope to teach more.”
In the first lockdown last year, Rachel refreshed the salon’s decor with a floral focal point. “I came across a cherry blossom tree when looking for some artificial plants,” she explains. “I loved it and decided that would be my theme.
“My salon at the time was mint green and tree was pink so it quickly turned into a total refurb! All the pink décor was inspired by the cherry blossom tree. My clients love it!
“With the salon being quite big I needed a pop of colour I chose the pink to match the tree and I love how it stands out against the white.
“My favourite part of the salon is definitely the cherry blossom tree waiting area. I took the idea to my Dad and straight away he set to work and created the bespoke bench. He’s used to my crazy ideas and will always find a way to make them happen!
“The salon team is like a family; we all get on so well we get so many positive comments about the atmosphere within the salon. I’m so happy I have created a space people can feel relaxed and at ease.”
