SALON IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Salon glō, Blackpool

With its luxurious palette of cream, gold and browns, the warmth emitted by Salon glō and its staff ensure it lives up to its name.
Established in April 2015 with just two members of staff, the Blackpool-based salon has gone from strength to strength and now employs a full team of seven. “As a salon, we are very experienced and professional in what we do while offering good customer service which I think is very important,” explains Nicola Smith, owner of Salon glō. “We have built our business up far quicker than we could ever have imagined and so we are currently looking to expand sometime very soon.”
Offering a variety of hair services, nail treatments still feature highly on the service menu. Using Young Nail and Gelly Fit, Salon glō’s nail technician Brooke Chadwick tends to her clients, “Brooke is very talented in her field,” enthuses Nicola. “Brooke constantly researches the latest nail trends and attends regular training courses to further her skills within the industry.”
With its luxe cream walls and wooden details, the salon is the ultimate tranquil environment. “Our salon was designed around the idea of having somewhere where clients could come to relax, de-stress and unwind,” reveals Nicola. “We opted for our chosen colour scheme to create a warm, calming environment. It seems to work very well, clients regularly comment on the relaxed environment. The warm ‘glow’ of the salon then gave me the idea for the name, Salon glō.”
