Salon in the Spotlight: Polished Sheffield

Bright pops of yellow contrast against the clean, contemporary lines of Polished Sheffield. Located in Chapeltown, the salon relocated to new premises last year. “We chose to move to be more accessible to clients and offer better parking facilities, too,” reveals Maria.

In its new home, the salon’s team are thriving. “We have three members of staff here,” explains Maria. “Myself, offering nail services; a hair dresser, Nicky; and our beautician, Liz. Each member of staff has over 15 year’s experience in the industry. We all love what we do and are perfectionists in our fields.”

Between the three staff members, a wide treatment menu is available, including facials, massages and waxing, as well as all aspects of hairdressing. The salon’s chosen nail brand is Calgel, and offers a variety of nail art with iZ Beauty of London glitters and Swarovski crystals.

“The decor of the salon is contemporary with a hint of geometric style,” explains Maria. “We wanted to stay away from traditional salon decor and go with something that was unique, modern, clean and relaxing. We also wanted to appeal to all clients – male or female.

“We believe our salon is unique in the fact we offer a vast range of treatments all under one roof in a relaxing, friendly environment. Nearly all our clients come to us from recommendation, giving us a busy and loyal client base.”
