Salon in the Spotlight: Nails & Beauty By Jamie, Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire

A recent house presented Jamie Didlock the chance to create a private nail studio. “I’ve always wanted my own home salon, but wasn’t able to as we didn’t have the space,” Jamie smiles. “When we moved to our new house, we turned the double garage into a studio.
“I’ve been in the industry for 10 years, and it was an ambition I held for a very long time.”
Now, the home salon sees a girly haven for Jamie and her clients. ”
“I decided I wanted the decor to be pink; it’s my favourite colour,” she explains. “I will never get bored of the colour!
“Next, I decided on adding a sequin wall. I saw one on Instagram and thought ‘wow, that would look great as a feature wall’.”
The space provides the perfect place for Jamie to carry out treatments. “I specialise in nail treatments but I also do other beauty treatments, including lash tinting and extensions, as well as spray tanning and waxing.
“I currently use The Gel Bottle Inc, Halo Gel Polish and the CJP Acrylic system. My collection of nail products keeps growing!”
Settled in her new set-up, Jamie is planning to share her passion and nail know-how. “I’m currently studying at college to complete teacher training,” she concludes. “I hope to privately train others in nail skills and art – which I can now do from my home salon!”
