Luxury Glam Nails & Beauty Salon In The Spotlight

Curating a fresh and girly look for her salon, Vicky Lea used a pink and white palette for her salon, adding soft touches such as florals and pampas grass to soften the clinical elements.

Training with NSI in 2002, Vicky Lea has been doing nails ever since. “It’s been over 20 years, and I still love it.”

Based in Chorley, Lancashire, Vicky made the decision to work on a self-employed basis following the lockdown. “I struggled to return to my job, so I decided to set up from home,” she remembers.

“My salon has great access to parking for clients. I have gone with a pink, white and grey theme in the salon to keep it nice and bright.

“I offer gel polish, L&P acrylics nails, builder gel nails and nail art, using products from Glitterbels. I love them and the range of colours they have as well. L&P acrylic nails and nail art are definitely my most popular treatments.”

Working alone at Luxury Glam Nails & Beauty, Vicky has developed a close relationship with many of her clients, who she sees on a one-to-one basis. “All my clients have become my friends and I love the bond that I have with them.”

Reflecting on the future of Luxury Glam Nails & Beauty, Vicky shares her goals of continuing to grow and expand her business. “I would like to get a shop in the next five years,” Vicky reveals.

“I picked pink and white for my salon so that it looked nice and fresh with a girly touch. I feel this suits my salon, as I like the clean fresh look with it being something different. My favourite part is the pampas wall art designed by Emma Suites Delights.

“I believe I stand out from other salons as I love to decorate so, I change my theme with seasons,” Vicky beams. “It’s always a nice surprise for clients when they walk in and see the change.”

“Having my own salon is amazing. It’s hard work at times, but well worth it,” she smiles. “It works great around my seven-year-old boy – he’s autistic, and the salon has helped him loads with social skills. He loves meeting everyone that comes by.

“I am very grateful to all my customers for their loyalty, and I always try to keep up with the latest nail art and decor trends. It’s great that you can create bespoke nails for each client.”
