When Lacey Louise Marshall’s appointment book was set to burst, she knew it was time to create a purpose-built place for her beauty business.

“I was originally specialised solely in nail and I was using my conservatory as my workspace,” Lacey explains.  “When the time came to expand the business, I needed somewhere private, that was separate from my family and house, where customers could come to have their treatments without having to enter my home.  Plus, there wouldn’t have been enough room in my conservatory for my waxing, spray tanning equipment and lash equipment!

“I choose the cabin myself. The cabin is a 4x4m insulated wooden structure which was built by a local family of tradesman, equipped with double glazing, electricity supply, lighting and heating.

“I wanted the decoration to be light, bright, easy to clean and maintain between clients as the day can be extremely busy when juggling work with homelife.  I also wanted a blank canvas to advertise and display samples of my products.

“The cabin has a view of my lovely new garden that was landscaped by me, my brother and husband. It also had to be cosy and comfortable so clients felt at home whilst having treatments. I take great pride in having a clean and tidy home and workspace.

“It’s important that my clients feel comfortable that they are having treatments in a professional and clean environment.”
