Found in Blairgowrie, Scotland, Dragonfly Nails and Beauty is owned by Pamela Fraser-Brawn. Having opened the salon five years ago, Pamela has grown the business, and soon hopes to offer training from the premise, too.

“There are two of us in the salon,” explains Pamela. “There’s myself and Cheryl Ramsay, who has worked with me on a self-employed basis for three years.

“We have a motto ‘The customer is not a number, but a real person’. This means that we tailor our service to our customer so that they feel important and not just a number through the door.”

To meet client needs, the salon offers nail services, pedicure services, lash extensions, waxing, spray tanning, microdermabrasion, lash lifting, brow services and lash & brow tinting.

“Our speciality is definitely our nail art,” smiles Pamela. “Japanese one stroke is a technique I absolutely love and macro gel painting is a close second!

“We use vegan or animal testing free products and products that are eco-friendly, including our glitters and disposables.”

The salon’s décor sees a mute palette of black, grey and white, but blended with chrome and silver.

“When I designed the cosmetic side of the salon, I incorporated themes of alchemy with gothic and Victorian romanticism. Blending these together gave us a unique look.

“Taking these various themes gave us our unique look without it being too over the top.

“Plus, using Nailchemy as our chosen nail brand was the perfect addition, as the products are also see the alchemist theme.”
