Dolled Up was established in 2013 by salon owner, Emma Hayes, who took the plunge into the beauty world after being encouraged by her friends. She’d been painting their nails in her spare time, around looking after her two young children, and they recognised her natural skill.
“My assistant, Kate Ladbrooke, and I have just recently taken on a premises in Halesworth town centre, Suffolk,” Emma enthuses. “This allows us to work longer hours and provide more treatments.”
“We offer lashes, brows, tans, pedicures and all forms of nail enhancements but we like to think of ourselves as nail art specialists. We often get clients coming to our salon specifically asking for our bespoke designs.
“We use The Gel Bottle for all of our gel manicures. Our clients love having Builder in a Bottle on their nails, as it keeps their nails long and strong.”
“I wanted a more cool, Instagrammable look to salon and love that the neon lights give it that trendy, club vibe,” she smiles. “I love lights and I finally got the bespoke Dolled Up sign made last month.
“There’s definitely an abstract, cool vibe to our salon and we often see that reflected in a lot of our clients’ nail choices.”
“The abstract Dalmatian dots and sprinkles come from my love of abstract nails. The walls were plain white when we got the premises so I wanted to put my stamp on it as soon as possible!”
