Lee-Ann Moss enjoyed life as a mobile nail technician from 2017, but began to look for properties to rent during the lockdowns of 2020 in order to open her own salon.

“The idea that life is too short hit home for me during the pandemic,” Lee-Ann remembers. “I was approached by my best friends who own a Tattoo shop with a spare floor upstairs, and I couldn’t think of a better place for Coco’s Nail Artistry & Beauty.”

“Coco’s is unique as it’s extremely personal to me, from its name being my nickname down to the decor and luxury touches.

“Of course I charge my worth, but my passion allows me to never work a day in my life,” she smiles. “My clients are my main interest and I want each one to feel valued as a customer and not just a number. I don’t believe in hard sales so I only retail what is beneficial to them and the services I offer, especially in the times we live in. We all have different circumstances and I don’t feel it’s fair to push sales, and I genuinely feel this makes there experience much nicer!”

“I specialise in nail art and I’m very lucky as I’m a natural and I’ve always been creative. Unfortunately I suffer with anxiety but nails helps relieve that.

“I also take great pride in the care of the natural nail as it’s the foundation to our creations. You wouldn’t build a house on bad foundations and expect it to withhold everyday stresses, so why would you expect that from your nails?”

“To sit in my chair making women feel good about themselves, while doing what I love, really does make me feel amazing.”

“I chose my décor as its my personality bundled into one room. The pink, gold and green colour combo I have always admired anyway, but I’m also a mum of two boys so alongside my husband, I’m extremely outnumbered so I really wanted to get my girly side across in my very own space,” Lee-Ann laughs. “The white tiled floor and walls makes it feel fresh without being too clinical. I’m extremely girly but I’m also edgy too, and I think my salon shows that, especially with my prints on the wall.

“I’m heavily tattooed myself and with my shop being above both tattoo and laser removal studios, I wanted my salon to tie in with that so it just flows throughout. The décor looks inviting and warm yet professional with added luxury touches. I’ve had plenty of positive comments already with the main one being spoilt clients, and that’s exactly what my clients deserve.”
